Casselberry
Only a short drive from Attorney John Guidry’s downtown Orlando office, Casselberry Florida is a small suburb with a population of around 22,000. Casselberry is located in Seminole County, in central Florida. Casselberry has a diverse racial makeup consisting of 85.65% White, 5.38% African American, .28% Native American, 1.90% Asian, 0.04% Pacific Islander and 15.13% Hispanic and Latino.
Native Americans known as the St. Johns People inhabited the area of Casselberry for hundreds of years before the arrival of European settlers. The city of Casselberry is named after a land developer from Winnetka, Illinois, Hibbard Casselberry, who began buying up parcels of land in the early 1930’s. Casselberry soon became involved in politics in the area and urged citizens to create a tax-free town; eventually residents voted to instate property taxes in 1976. The city’s past held an important role at the beginning of World War II producing bandoliers, bomb parachutes and hospital tent liners and other items for the war effort. Currently, Casselberry is home to some of Mr. Guidry’s favorite tennis clubs (John plays a lot of tennis).
This is a quiet suburb that has a low tolerance for criminal activity. The criminal law office of John Guidry has successfully defended many Casselberry residents charged with a variety of crimes including probation violations, marijuana possession, drug trafficking, burglary and theft crimes, assault, sexual crimes, driving under the influence, possession of a controlled substance, rape and more. If you are charged with a crime, it is important to contact a Casselberry criminal defense lawyer.
